Nambi Sseppuuya Community Resource Centre
A common barrier to informing, educating, and entertaining in Uganda is power. Power is expensive and unreliable (it consistently goes off for hours to days). Solar energy enables NSCRC to become self sufficient, have consistent access to sustainable power, and take a huge step towards being envir...

The entire surrounding community is now utilizing the library including teachers and students from the many nearby schools. The building of the Children’s Library and ICT room are now complete. This means that the library has...
The community members of Igombe and supporters of the centre are happy to see the latest developments. The roof has been completed on the children’s library and IT room. The building has grown to a large size and is now able to house numerous activities at one time. The new section now has to be plastered and the floors need to be finished. Large windows were installed to utilize the wonderful sunny weather and natural light in Uganda. As Justin Kiyimba, the centre’s founder, stood a...
The latest activities at the resource centre have been exciting in many ways! New building has started on the IT room and children’s library. This new section of the library will ensure that activities will be able to take place with children at the centre without disturbing other users. Isa, the centre’s librarian, has been continuing his hard work with community outreach. He has discovered that telling the children at the surrounding schools is not enough. As a result he has begun...
